In practice it will now probably be desirable to be 10k (or more) TV below your opponent to get the advantage (as you will get the opportunity to respond to what your opponent does, and even gain additional inducements for your trouble). In the LE beta, the overdog (higher TV) goes first, and anything they spend will get added to the TV of the underdog (who always goes second, as least as far as we can tell from the matchmaking league) - they then get this increased level of inducements and can additionally top up with their own treasury (with no chance for the overdog to respond).Įssentially the system has been changed so that a potential buff is being given to the underdog (as they are now the only team which can use their treasury in a manner the other coach cannot respond to). In BB2 pre-Legendary edition, the level of inducements is calculated and coaches can top that up with their treasury as they like (without affecting what the other player gets).
Because this scenario is so bonkers, I feel I must have misunderstood something, or am missing information? But there's no way Team A is gonna stand for that, so they will sack a player too! And so on. The only thing left for Team B to do prior to game to avoid being a wizard (or 160K of inducements) down, will be to sack a player. Team A will still be able to buy a wizard. Team B won't be able to buy a wizard as if they do, Team A will be able to spend 310K on inducements. If this is true, when it comes to playoffs there will be this scenario:

It looks like in the beta, the coach with the lower TV gets extra Petty Cash for any spending that the higher TV coach made from their own bank balance, plus the ability to spend their own balance too, plus the TV difference petty cash.
